GBVision and Slavia Prague helped make a dream come true!

GBVision in cooperation with Slavia Prague helped Jiří Holzmann, frontman of the band The Tap Tap and internet entertainer who is confined to a wheelchair due to muscular dystrophy, to make his dream come true. Muscular dystrophy is an insidious disease that gradually turns muscles into fat and for which there is unfortunately no cure.

Jiří Holzmann is confined to a wheelchair and can only move part of his hand and his head, which he can turn sideways. But it's impossible to say that he would collapse and just swear at life. On the contrary. Holzmann enjoys his life as much as he can, together with his long-time friend Petr Burda, aka Stounman, he creates funny videos on social networks, in which they both make fun of their disabilities, sometimes quite morbidly.

Holzmann is a long-time fan of Prague's Slavia. His wish has always been to turn into a commentator and comment on a match of the “red and whites”. And thanks to GBVision, that wish came true. GBVision has been supplying commentaries for the SK Slavia Prague team for more than 8 years for Slavia Radio. The audio commentaries are intended for fans of Slavia Prague who cannot physically be at the stadium, but still want to hear how their team is doing with a club passion.

A time-lapse documentary is being made about Holzmann and as part of it he has expressed interest in commenting for Slavia. It was not a difficult decision for GBVision. The word was given and for the match against FK Dukla Praha Jiří Holzmann was already alongside our commentator, Viktor Maudr. He introduced Holzmann to the world of audio commentary, explained all the essentials and let Holzmann commentate for the absolute majority of the match.

"Jiri was great. He jumped right in, he certainly didn't look like someone who has never commentated in his life. He did a great job of describing the game, which is essential with audio commentary. At times he had a bit of a problem with identification, but he got better throughout the game. I was just trying to stay out of his way, and hopefully that worked. Jirka was really a star," said Maudr after the game.
